Blackpool’s League 1 season continued with a draw against Bury at Bloomfield Road on Friday.

A second successive win, and first win at home since the end of January, was denied by Bury with a lead not something Blackpool could hold onto in this one-one draw.

Danny Philliskirk, after Cian Bolger had fouled Jim McAlister, scored from the penalty spot to give Blackpool the lead on 74-minutes but Bury were level two-minutes later when John O’Sullivan’s set up Danny Mayor with this point keeping Pools out of the bottom four, two-points ahead of the relegation zone.

Here’s a round up of the League 1 action from the other games played at the start of the Easter weekend….

These were the other results.

Friday 25th March 2016
Barnsley 0-0 Scunthorpe
Blackpool 1-1 Bury
Colchester 4-1 Doncaster
Rochdale 4-1 Southend
Sheff Utd 3-2 Crewe
Shrewsbury 1-1 Port Vale
Swindon 1-4 Wigan
Peterborough 3-1 Coventry

These games are to be played.

Saturday 26th March 2016
Burton v Oldham
Bradford v Millwall
Chesterfield v Fleetwood

The Burton lead (on Friday) anyway was closed by Wigan (four-one), who extended their unbeaten run with a heavy win at Swindon – Barnsley (nil-nil) retained the final play-off place on Friday, but had to settle for a point at Oakwell against Scunthorpe under new boss Graham Alexander.

Looking to get into the top six are Southend (four-one) beaten at Rochdale, so these chances weren’t helped at all, with Sheffield United’s (three-two) hopes helped with a win against struggling Crewe at Bramall Lane.

Colchester (four-one) will still need to pull off something special to stay up but this win against Doncaster, who drop deeper into trouble themselves after this game, took them off the foot of the table after the game at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
