The Blackpool run in the League Cup is over for another year after the second round defeat against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Tuesday.
A goal in each half was enough to end the Blackpool involvement in the League Cup this season with Crystal Palace advancing after a two-nil win.
Palace took the lead midway through the first half when Dann scored with that lead doubled by Wickham, who had come on at half time, just two-minutes after the break to seal the win for the Premier League side.
McAlister did have an effort cleared off the line by Palace’s McArthur but Blackpool couldn’t find the breakthrough.
Here’s a round up of the League Cup action from the other matches played, with some still to take place.

Some very high scoring matches, with an upset or two as well with the biggest of Tuesday night being the West Brom exit to Northampton.
After an extra time two-two draw the match needed penalties with Northampton going through four-three with another penalty shootout needed for Derby to see off Carlisle after a one-one draw at the iPro Stadium. The Rams eventually winning 14-13!
Premier League side Watford also bowed out after a two-one Vicarage Road defeat to League 1 side Gillingham but most other Premier League and Championship sides advanced and quite comfortably from potential banana skins really.
