Blackpool’s League 1 season continued with a win against Doncaster at the Keepmoat Stadium on Easter Monday.
Successive away wins were secured when Blackpool got a late winner in a one-nil win at Doncaster to keep us out of the relegation zone and Donny (without a win in 14) very much in it.
Tommy Rowe had hit the crossbar for Doncaster with ‘keeper Remi Matthews denying Mark Cullen to see a goalless draw on but Liam Smith’s pass into Mark Cullen gave him the chance to win it on 87-minutes with him taking this, with help from a deflection, to give Blackpool a crucial three-points to keep Pools out of the bottom four but this is only by a point!

A familiar scoreline on Easter Monday was one-nil!
Wigan (one-nil) unbeaten run continued with another win with the win over Rochdale moving them closer to a return to the Championship, quite possibly as Champions wit that helped by the results of the leaders Burton (two-nil) later in the day when they were beaten at Millwall.
Those looking to also go up, most likely via the play-off route, are Gillingham, Bradford and Barnsley with all three of them retaining play-off hopes with one-nil wins over Bury, Crewe and Port Vale respectively.
At the other end of the table Blackpool’s (one-nil) win over Doncaster further extended the poor run of form Doncaster have been on, to leave them in serious trouble, with this win at the Keepmoat Stadium moving Pools further away from the bottom four – still work to be done though.
Oldham’s (one-nil) win against Chesterfield helped the Latics’ hopes of staying up too but leaves the Spireites worrying still with it getting tight down the bottom.
