Blackpool’s League 2 season continued with a win against Yeovil at Huish Park on Saturday.

A return to winning ways, a first since the opening day of the league season, was secured by Blackpool with a three-nil win at Yeovil.

The first half was goalless with Blackpool ahead just past the hour when Daniel fired home from 25-yard, giving Yeovil ‘keeper Krysiak no chance.

Gnanduillet blazed a penalty over the crossbar when the chance to double the Blackpool lead came, which happened when Daniel got his second for Pools shortly after in the final 10-minutes.

A win was secured, with Gnanduillet getting on the scoresheet to score from six-yards a few minutes later to seal the win with three-minutes to play.

Here’s a round up of the League 2 action from the other matches played.

Matches involving Colchester have generally seen goals scored, Saturday wasn’t any different with an injury-plagued Exeter side beating the U’s three-two at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Luton’s impressive start saw them retain top spot with a four-one mauling of Wycombe, who have found the going tough to start the season with one of the early season pacesetters Morecambe slipping to defeat at the Globe Arena when Leyton Orient went away with a two-one win.

A late Plymouth goal gave them the points at Home Park in a win against Cheltenham (one-nil) to keep a run going with Portsmouth making it three in a row after a three-nil win over Crawley at Fratton Park.

Stevenage beating Hartlepool isn’t a surprise as such but Boro running out six-one winners at Broadhall Way probably wouldn’t have been something many expected nor would a three-nil Blackpool win at Huish Park against Yeovil perhaps!
