The 32-year-old has penned a one-year deal with Lewes, who will start this season in the Blue Square Premier for the first time.

Taylor had a hugely successful spell with Blackpool from 2002 to 2004. The Londoner scored 61 goals in more than 120 appearances for the club, an admirable scoring record indeed. Scott scored Pool’s fourth goal in the LDV Trophy win over Cambridge United in 2002.

Before signing for Blackpool Taylor had done the rounds at Millwall, Stockport and Tranmere. He left Blackpool to head south to Plymouth before spending time at MK Dons, Brentford and Rochdale.

Taylor dropped into the non-league last season with Grays. Scott managed just 3 goals in 11 starts for Grays. He will start this season with Lewes in the Blue Square Premier.

Taylor totals 13 clubs in his career and Seasiders’ fans probably saw the best of Scott’s talents in his time with BFC.
