The Sun: ‘Pool In Harewood Talks

According to The Sun, Blackpool are in talks with striker Marlon Harewood about a move to the seaside.

The newspaper claims that Ian Holloway has contacted the 30 year old striker who was released by Aston Villa earlier this summer as he looks to bolster his frontline.

Of course, with the story appearing in The Sun, it has to be taken with a fair few pinches of salt.

However, given the fact that he’s available on a free, Harewood would certainly fit into Blackpool’s ‘spending plans’…

Meanwhile, Patrick McCourt has signed a two year contract extension with Celtic, ruling out a move to Blackpool in the process.
