Manager Neil McDonald has completed the signings of Kwame Thomas and Jim McAlister.

England under 20 international Thomas comes to us from Derby County on a loan deal that will run until January 2. The 19 year old striker has also been capped at U16 and U17 levels and in 2014 he was named their Under 21 Player of the Year.

In 2014-15 he spent time out on loan at Meadow Lane with Notts County where he made two starts and three substitute appearances, building on his debut for Derby before he went out. Returning to them last season he added a further four substitute appearances to his tally.

29 year old McAlister has signed a two year deal at the club, with an option for the third year, and in his trial spell with us so far he has taken in the friendlies against Ross County, St Johnstone and Morecambe.

Having been promoted twice during his time with Greenock Morton (eight years) he has spent the last three seasons with Dundee and was part of their side that achieved success in the Scottish Championship in 2014.

He leaves them having made 123 appearances for the club.

It also appears he spent time with Hamilton Academicals, and comes in with over 400 games under his belt.

Speaking to the Official Site as he completed his deal, he explained.

‘The club was up in Scotland last week and I managed to spend a full week training with the boys, playing a part in a couple of games. I’m seeking a fresh challenge and thankfully I’ve been given the opportunity to come here. I’m really, really looking forward to getting started. I spoke to Kyle Letheren before I met up with the boys up in Scotland last week and he had nothing but good things to say about the whole place in general, from the manager, through to the squad and the stadium. That whetted my appetite a wee bit to try and get a deal here.’
