Dave Timmins, most recently with Port Vale but has worked with clubs such as Tranmere, Shrewsbury and Carlisle, has replaced Steve Banks as goalkeeping coach after he left for Bradford.

The loss of Banks to Bradford was a disappointment but the experience of Timmins, who has been coaching for almost 20-years, has helped offset this with Gary Bowyer more than happy with his latest backroom staff appointment telling the Official Website.

‘Dave is widely regarded in the game and has helped shape some very good goalkeepers. He’s a strong addition to the coaching staff here at Blackpool and I’m pleased to welcome him to the club.’

Among those that Timmins has coached, and helped develop, are the likes of Manchester City and England international Joe Hart and Crystal Palace and Wales international Wayne Hennessey.

However you suspect Hennessey is the one he’ll be bragging about most of all at this particular moment in time!

All being well he’ll bring plenty to Bloomfield Road much like Bowyer can….hopefully! Which brings us onto our latest poll, based on Blackpool’s boss Bowyer with it asking.

What will Bowyer bring to Blackpool?
