Despite several media reports today suggesting that the Seasiders are on the verge of signing trialist Razak Omotoyossi permanently, it is Vital’s understanding that the player was released from his trial spell at the club by manager Ian Holloway this morning after a less than impressive performance against Bristol City at the weekend. It has been rumoured that Razak et al have been replaced by a new set of trialists that include Michael Ball and Kanu though, but this is yet to be confirmed. I must say I’m skeptical about this; how do we expect to afford to pay Kanu’s wages?!

What we do know however is that a player was in for talks with the club today, but as yet we are not sure who the player in question was.

The player definitely wasn’t Seamus Coleman though, with Ollie saying today of his chances of re-signing the player on loan, ‘I think I’ve got two hopes – one of them is Bob, the other is no.’

Meanwhile, midfielder Keith Southern went to hospital for a scan on the knee injury he suffered on Saturday against Bristol City amid fears that he could be out for the season. At present, there is no news on the results of the scan.

Southern’s injury may well give the likes of Jason Euell the opportunity to stake a claim for a place in the first team. Euelly spoke today of his delight at returning to the Premier League.

In the bizarre news story of the day, the Match of the Day magazine was slammed after failing to list Blackpool as a Premier League club, instead stating that they were still in the Championship! The magazine has apologised for the error.

Back to more serious issues, and there are suggestions that ‘Pool target Deniz Yilmaz has told Bayern Munich that he wants to leave the club. ‘Pool were very interested in the player earlier in the summer but were put off by Bayern’s demands. However, they have retained their interest in the player and could now make another move for him according to reports.

Meanwhile, Swansea coach Alan Curtis has said that he expects right back Angel Rangel to complete a move to Blackpool in the coming weeks. The Seasiders currently have offers on the table for both Rangel and Stephen Dobbie.

Charlie Adam meanwhile has been included in the Scotland squad for next Wednesday’s friendly against Sweden.

And finally, news breaking tonight suggests that Blackpool’s bid for Nottingham Forest’s Nathan Tyson has been rejected. However, The Guardian’s report on the story contains several inaccuracies… saying that though, here at Vital Towers we would not be surprised if the offer has been rejected – it would sum up our summer after all, wouldn’t it?

From what ive herd about Razak Omo whatever his name is he is a talented striker but has a record of trouble but not everyone is perfect. I for one would love him to sign for the club he is fast strong and has a great eye for goal. Angel rangel would be great, Coleman was quality last year and would be awesome signing but donst look like its going to happen. Just hope we make some signings before wigan game or we could be loseing to a club we beat 4-1 in the cup last year!
