Once again Pool look for their second away win of the season this time at high flying Port Vale

Port Vale Team News:

Vale have got of to a fantastic start this season but have lost the last two games, 1-0 away at Yeovil and 2-1 to Doncaster at Vale Park last week. Apart from that defeat to Doncaster, Vale have been formidable at Vale Park even beating Championship outfit Preston in the league cup.

Manager Martin Foyle will be able to call upon the services of Ritchie Humpfreys who joined on a months loan from Hartlepool this week.

Player to watch: Leo Constantine

The much travelled striker has now looked to find his level and has been sensational form banging in 6 goals in seven games. He the top scorer for Vale this season and also out of all 92 league clubs. This achievement was recognised this month with Constantine receiving the League One Player of the month trophy.

Blackpool Team News:

Simon Grayson might throw in new boy Claus Jorgensen into the starting eleven after he returned from intentional duty this week. He might be also temped to start Ben Burgess after the front pairing of Andy Morrell and Scott Vernon drew a blank last Saturday at Millwall.

Wes Hoolahan will return to the starting 11 after a heart scare before the game at the New Den midweek tests gave the winger the all clear. Grayson will once again be without Jones, Murphy, Coid, Doughty, Wiles and Blinkhorn.

Player to watch: Claus Jorgensen

The attacking midfielder is due to make his first appearance in a tangerine shirt after signing on deadline day last Thursday. He missed the game last Saturday as he was on international duty with the Faroe Islands. Claus was as unused substitute in the game as the Faroe Islanders went down 6-0 to the Scots.

Last season Pool did the double over Vale, 2-1 at Vale Park Wiles and Parker with two classy goals and at Bloomfield Road a Gareth Williams goal separated the two sides.

Pool`s biggest win against Vale away was in 1987 in the old division three went Pool ran out 6-1 winners. But in the 1923/24 season Pool put 12 goals past Vale in two games, 6-1 at Bloomfield and 2-6 at Vale Park lets hope for a similar result this season.

Mr Joslin sent off Oriol Riera and John Fitzgerald in the Bury – Sunderland Game, Riera for dissent and Fitzgerald for two bookings the second one for jumping in the crowd. Last week he sent off Bradley Orr of Bristol City for a head butt on one of his team mates.

He did however officiate the Scunthorpe home win last season and the home win against Vale last season.

    Well if Claus plays then IMO he will definitely be the player to watch in our side. Vale are there for the taking too given that they lst at home to Doncaster lsat Sunday.

    it will be a hard game away for blackpool, port vale have got off to a decent start leon consitine looks to be on form so i would watch out for him. but i dont think port vale would do good without him.
