Having helped himself to a brace in the weekend’s clash against Notts County, a pleased Kyle Vassell was happy with his return of ten goals for the year so far.
Hosting the side at Bloomfield Road for the match, Blackpool took a four nil victory on the day with Vassell scoring twice, but his delight wasn’t just in his own performance as he spoke to the Official Site following the game in his own post match press conference, he was also delighted with the overall performance from the team as he felt a healthy win had been coming and we just needed it to click.
‘We all knew it would come but it means nothing if we don`t back it up next Saturday. The boys dug in very well. There were a few tough points in the game, it`s a clean sheet for the boys at the back and a good win.’
Scoring in each half and being joined on the scoresheet by Colin Daniel and Jamille Matt, the 23 year old went on to say it was pleasing to see the goals shared around on the day as well.
‘It came at a good time (opening goal) because they were looking alright. I was buzzing for the other boys to score as well. We`ve got a strong team, a strong squad, even the boys who aren`t in the team fit in straight away. We knew in the camp this was coming but we need to make sure we go again next Saturday.’
