Ahead of yesterday evening’s friendly against Peterhead as Blackpool bring to a close their time in Scotland, summer signing and striker Kyle Vassell had been speaking to the Official Site and saying how he was giving his all to impress this year.

Moving from Peterborough where it didn’t really work out for him, the striker explained.

‘I`ve got to impress the Gaffer and Richie to give myself the best possible chance. I know what I can do, I`ve just got to prove it again. It`s been a tough year, Peterborough didn`t work out and I`ve been bouncing about for a couple of years. I don`t want to do that anymore. I need to settle. I want to be somewhere I feel appreciated, feel loved and enjoy my football. Now I have to work hard and impress because we have good players. It should keep the squad buzzing because nobody will get complacent.’

Having said that, taking a four three victory over our most recent opposition with Vassell himself finding the net three times was the perfect way for him to prove the above.

Blackopol took the lead through an own goal to begin with and were behind at the half time break, and Vassell’s introduction for the second period proved to be key to turning the game around for manager Gary Bowyer.

Unfortunately I can find no team details for the game.
