Blackpool’s promotion bid suffered a setback when play-off rivals Luton inflicted just a second home defeat of the season on us – this loss and other results meant Pools dropped out of the top 7.
Luton took the lead shortly past the half hour mark when Jack Marriott scored. The Hatters doubled the advantage – and sealed the points – when Cameron McGeehan headed past Sam Slocombe in the opening minutes of the second period.
