Whole-hearted, gritty, determined, model professional, these are all words which should be used to describe Mike Flynn, the very definition of a proper centre back.

Flynny began life as a professional footballer back in the 1980s and he is still playing now in 2008. Oldham, Stockport, Blackpool and Accrington are just some of Mike’s clubs.

His time at Bloomfield Road began in 2003 under Steve McMahon. And he was lucky enough to win the LDV Vans Trophy at Cardiff’s Millenium Stadium in 2004.

A no nonsense centre back, Flynny managed just the one goal in more than 50 games for Pool. But his legend lives on…

Amen to that. You never forget the good, and those that put there body on the line for the club. Not like the Mercenery, take a few quid quick and sod off players …YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE…

And good to see that almost all of you are no longer footballing or are well below us.

THE GRASS IS GREENER AT BLOOMERS.
