As table topers Plymouth host basement side Newport it would be expected the Pilgrims will gain all three-points against the side looking as though they could get cut adrift at the foot of the table, the lead Plymouth have going into this match is three-points.
If Doncaster manage to come away from Blackpool with three-points if Plymouth do lose then Donny could go top on goal-difference, Pools could do with the points as it hasn’t been the season they would have wanted under Gary Bowyer.
Colchester host Morecambe in a midtable meeting with Crawley looking to move up from a similar position into one Accrington hold, Stanley are in the final play-off place ahead of this match.
Exeter’s win at Barnet took them out of the bottom two at the expense of the Bees, the Grecians’ home form has been poor with them hosting Cambridge looking for a rare St James Park win.
That illusive Victoria Park win is something Hartlepool will finally hope for when Leyton Orient, who are only just outside of the relegation zone, are the visitors to Pools.
Luton are another of the sides pushing for an automatic place, let alone a play-offs one, with them hosting Mansfield seeking the three-points with this something Portsmouth will want from a match at Fratton Park against Notts County too with the only unbeaten side in the league Carlisle looking to keep that record (and a place in the top three) when the go to Stevenage.
We can say it goes without saying the expectation; most definitely the hope at least, will be for a positive result.
But will this happen? We’ll find out soon enough!
