The 2017-18 season continues with the latest round of games this weekend. This will see us among those involved with three points of course the aim.

Previous results

Charlton Athletic 0-3 Wigan Athletic 19:45
Fleetwood Town 3-2 Bury 19:45

Peterborough United 2-0 Milton Keynes Dons 19:45

Rotherham United 5-1 Walsall 19:45
Scunthorpe United 0-1 Blackburn Rovers 19:45
Shrewsbury Town 1-0 Southend United 19:45

Blackburn’s rise up the League One table has come off the back of four successive wins. Rovers look for a fifth, which could take them into the top-six, when Wimbledon – themselves struggling just above the bottom-four – visit Ewood Park.

After rescuing a late point against Oxford – who will travel to Blackpool – Bradford face another tough encounter against Rotherham, fresh from the thrashing of Walsall in midweek, which was the Millers’ third win on the trot.

Bury, Plymouth and Gillingham are all in the bottom-four – the Shakers and Argyle meet at Giggs Lane hoping to get a win that could take them out of the relegation zone. The Gills, presently the bottom side, play host to a Charlton side who saw a winning run ended during the week.

Having secured a first win, Oldham will look to follow it up with another when League One leaders Shrewsbury are faced at Boundary Park – the Shrews would be expected to continue their impressive early season form though.

Portsmouth’s in-different start – which continued with a defeat at Northampton on Tuesday with the Cobblers themselves now seeking a third straight win at Southend – will next see Pompey play host to Fleetwood as the Cod Army travel to Fratton Park having suffered just the one defeat.

A positive Peterborough response to defeat came with a midweek win to take them back up to second – a Walsall side looking for a reaction to a heavy defeat host Posh this time round.

Doncaster and Scunthorpe, who were both beaten in midweek, for the first time in the case of the Iron, will meet at the Keepmoat Stadium in a Sunday afternoon fixture to round off the weekend action.

What will happen in this one though? Cast your vote so we know if you think it’ll be all smiles or disappointment come the full time whistle.
