If AFC Wimbledon can build on a weekend win they could move out of the bottom four, the problem is they’ll have to overcome a Rotherham side, fourth, that’s won four out of the last five, including three on the spin.
Blackburn’s bid to get back on track – following defeat at Oldham, who travel to Bradford – will see Rovers entertain bottom side Plymouth, who ended a losing run with a draw on Saturday against then leaders Shrewsbury.
Doncaster came up with champions Portsmouth – as well as runners up Plymouth – from League Two automatically last season but only goal difference is keeping Donny out of the bottom four, so defeat could change that. A Pompey win at the Keepmoat could be enough to move Kenny Jackett’s side into the play off places?
A fourth straight win saw Wigan take the League One leadership ahead of Shrewsbury – they will host Bristol Rovers – on goal difference. The Latics bid to maintain this position when travelling to third bottom Gillingham, who did win on Saturday.
In-form sides Oxford and Charlton, in sixth and fifth respectively, bid to consolidate top six places when meeting at the Kassam Stadium. Meanwhile, at the other end of the table, second bottom Northampton go to Rochdale – above the drop zone on goal difference alone – looking to end a run of five without a win, including four defeats.
Both Scunthorpe and Fleetwood would have been expected to be in the play off places, at least, at this stage of the season but they are languishing around midtable – then again a win for either and that could alter the complexion of their position pretty dramatically.
What will happen in this one though? Cast your vote so we know if you think it’ll be all smiles or disappointment come the full time whistle.
