The League 2 season continued with the latest round of matches played over the weekend.

Leaders Plymouth were held, which saw Portsmouth close the gap after hitting five with Carlisle continuing a good run to start the season with a home win.

Here’s a round up of the League 2 action from the other matches played.

Carlisle 1-0 Wycombe 15:00
Colchester 1-2 Accrington 15:00
Crewe 1-1 Blackpool 15:00
Luton 3-1 Doncaster 15:00
Morecambe 2-3 Crawley 15:00
Newport 1-2 Cambridge 15:00
Notts County 3-1 Leyton Orient 15:00
Plymouth 1-1 Hartlepool 15:00
Portsmouth 5-1 Barnet 15:00
Stevenage 0-2 Exeter 15:00
Yeovil 4-2 Cheltenham 15:00

Carlisle have made an impressive start to the season with them collecting the points in a one-nil win at Brunton Park against Wycombe, who haven’t found the going so good.

After a bit of a wobble recently Luton ensured Doncaster went away from Kenilworth Road with nothing after the Hatter won three-one with Morecambe’s form since the Manager of the Month was secured by Jim Bentley in August continuing to be ‘in-different’ (you could say) with them losing by the odd goal in five when Crawley won three-two at the Globe Arena.

Leaders Plymouth had to be content with a point against Hartlepool with Argyle held to a one-all draw at Home Park, which allowed Portsmouth to close the gap on them after a five-one win over Barnet at Fratton Park to make it five wins in six-match as Pompey recovered from a loss at Accrington the week before.

Whereas Stanley followed up that one-nil win with a two-one win at the Weston Homes Community Stadium at Colchester.

After a poor run of form Yeovil managed to collect another three-points with Cheltenham heading the short distance away from Huish Park with nothing after the Glovers won four-two.
