It is now a dozen games unbeaten for leaders Plymouth who extended this run with a two-one win over Colchester at Home Park. Carlisle are four-points back in second but a three-one win against Crawley at Brunton Park extended a lead to four-points with the unbeaten Cumbrians’ start to the campaign going on!

Doncaster dropped points after being held to a two-all draw at the Keepmoat against Wycombe with Luton and Notts County sharing the points at Meadow Lane so failing to capitalise.

This was something Portsmouth did though as a one-nil win at Cambridge was enough for 10-man Pompey to win and close to within three-points of Doncaster in the third and final automatic promotion spot.

A five-goal thriller at the Hive eventually saw the man advantage Barnet had pay off with the Bees seeing off Hartlepool three-two to keep out of relegation trouble with this something Newport are very much in but an impressive three-one win at Accrington saw the Exiles move into double figures points wise.

Blackpool went away from Cheltenham with a point from a two-two draw at Whaddon Road against Cheltenham with Leyton Orient’s two-nil defeat at home seeing Orient drop into the bottom two with Crewe into the play-offs as a result.

Exeter’s three-nil win at Morecambe saw that decent Grecians away form keeping them out of the bottom two.
