The League 2 season continued with a couple of games played during midweek.

Plymouth’s defeat saw their title hopes dealt another blow but Blackpool are back in the play-off picture as a result. Portsmouth moved into the top three with victory at Crawley.

Here’s a round up of the League 2 action from the other games.

Tuesday 7th March 2017 – LEAGUE TWO
Plymouth Argyle 0-3 Blackpool 19:30
Crawley Town 0-2 Portsmouth 19:45

Plymouth missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Doncaster to a point after Blackpool went away from Home Park with a 3-0 win – the Pilgrims remain four points adrift in second. Pools’ victory made it back-to-back success to close the gap on the play-off places to four points.

A sixth defeat in 10 was suffered by Crawley as Portsmouth won to move above Carlisle into the third and final automatic promotion spot. Despite a missed penalty the points were secured by two second half goals with this 2-0 victory for Pompey taking them above Carlisle.
