Plymouth’s Simon Walton has ruled out a move to Blackpool this close season.
The 21-year-old spent just over a month on loan at Bloomfield Road over the season run in.
But the midfielder, who can also play across the back four, only made one appearance for The Seasiders – coming off the bench in the 1-0 derby win at Preston.
A move looked unlikely then, and it’s looking even more distant now.
Walton said: ‘I did all right at Blackpool and I impressed in training.
‘But I haven’t had any contact with anyone, so I don’t think anything’s going to happen there.
‘The caretaker manager (Tony Parkes) and his staff who dealt with me have now all gone, so I think that door’s closed now.’
The player and Argyle manager Paul Sturrock has a very public bust-up last season, and it remains to be seen whether the former QPR man stays at Home Park.

Obviously didn’t fit in to our previous managers plans. Doubt if that will change with having Holloway as manager.
