When was the last time we lost against Oldham? The answer, nine games, home and away, scoring 20 goals in the process. So the writing’s on the wall then? A defeat.

Oldham Athletic Team News:

Oldham are glad to welcome back favorite Richie Wellens (I wonder what reception he’ll get?) from a back injury for Saturdays match. They also have Chris Porter available again after a knee problem.

Will Haining is set to miss out whilst Stefan Stam is certain to not feature.

Out: Stefan Stam (groin)

Doubt: Will Haining (thigh)

Player to watch: Need An Introduction?

No, didn’t think so. Richie Wellens. We all know what he can do, but it’s down to whether he can get hold of the midfield, and play the complete opposite to that of at Bloomfield Road in January.

Blackpool Team News:

Simon Grayson is still without long term absentees Phil Doughty and Danny Coid. Keith Lasley, on loan from Plymouth, misses out also.

Out: Danny Coid (ankle)
Phil Doughty (leg)
Keith Lasley (foot)

Player to watch: Keith Southern

I can’t believe I’ve got him down as a player to watch after his miss on Tuesday night, but, after steadily improving over the past few games, I think he can boss the midfield on Saturday, making Wellens’hopes of controlling the game slim, leading to Oldham being ineffective, as in the reverse fixture.
