Where are they now?

After three years at Accrington Stanley, Prendergast made the leap into league football signing for Pool in the summer of 2005.

Rory struggled to make an impression in Colin Hendry`s squad and was in and out of the side throughout his stay at the seaside. One week he would look a decent league player with a quality left foot. But at other times it looked as though the division was too high for him.

Rory made 22 league starts in two years at the club and once a certain Wes Hoolahan arrived there was to be no way back for Prendergast at Blackpool.

The left winger had a short loan spell at Halifax before securing a move to League Two Rochdale. Prendergast scored three goals for the club before leaving Spotland earlier this year.

Rory now finds himself back where it all started for him in non-league football. He signed for Farsley Celtic a couple of months ago. Farsley are currently fighting a relegation battle to stay in the Blue Square Premier and Prendergast will be hoping he can help his new club avoid the drop.

Prendergast never quite made the grade in league football but I am sure all Pool fans would wish him well in the rest of his career.
