Blackpool’s final Bloomfield Road clash of the 2015/16 season against Wigan Athletic will now kick off at an earlier time.
The game will continue to take place on Saturday April 30 but having been given a 3pm kick off originally by the fixture computer, the game has now been brought forward and given a 12.30pm kick off following advice.
The announcement by the club cites ‘interests of crowd safety and public order’ and also described the game as having a ‘high profile nature’ given the impact the final result could have on both the promotion and relegation ends of the League One table.
The decision was made following discussions between both clubs, Lancashire Police, the Football League and other relevant authorities.
