The August transfer window may well be shut, but that hasn’t stopped the press linking Blackpool with yet more players.
The Seasiders – along with every other Football League club – are able to do loan deals next week in order to bolster their squad.
And the first name to be linked with a temporary move to Bloomfield Road is Aston Villa midfielder Isaiah Osbourne.
The Mirror suggests that Ian Holloway has struck a deal with Martin O’Neill to have Osbourne for up to three months.
The strong central midfielder also had a spell out on loan at Nottingham Forest and impressed in the 1-1 draw against ‘Pool back in April.
With Jay Emmanuel-Thomas’ loan from Arsenal drawing to a close, coupled with the fact that he has failed to make a major impact whilst here, a move for Osbourne – who’s made 19 appearances for Villa’s first team – could be forthcoming.
