The Seasiders tonight have a chance to move into the playoffs and up to 5th place in the Championship with a win over West Brom.

The visitors currently sit 3rd and could leapfrog Nottingham Forest into the automatic promotion spots.

So, a big game for both sides.

The snow falling in Blackpool at present could prove to be a major factor going into the game.

Even though it’s unlikely the fixture will be postponed, the snow is sticking to the ground slightly and could mean the free-flowing match we were expecting might descend into a sluggish encounter.

New signings DJ Campbell, Stephen Dobbie and Stephen Husband are all expected to be in the 16.

Vital Quotes:

Chris Brunt on the Championship: ‘Things are now back in our own hands after another crazy weekend in the Coca-Cola Championship.

‘We go to Blackpool with the chance of going back into second place.

‘There are going to be lots of highs and lows for every team in the Championship between now and May and it’s important we have more highs than lows.’

Blackpool Team News:

Neal Eardley is still doubtful after missing Saturday’s draw at Coventry through injury.

Whether or not Ollie will change the back four if Eardley is fit remains to be seen.

DJ Campbell looks set to lead the line with Barry Bannan and Gary Taylor-Fletcher providing the width.

Stephen Dobbie – if he’s available – should take a place on the bench.

Other loan signing Husband may also be on the sidelines.

Player to watch: DJ Campbell

The goal machine from last year is back and will definitely play this evening.

After firing ‘Pool to safety this time last year, his goal this time will be to find the net enough times to maintain the promotion push.

West Brom Team News:

Giles Barnes has signed for West Brom and could begin on the bench for the visitors – it’s touch and go.

New signing Andy Slory has been included in the Albion squad after receiving international clearance.

Joe Mattock looks set to miss out through illness.

Player to watch: Graham Dorrans

The former Blackpool target has been in sparkling form from the middle of midfield this campaign.

After maturing this season, Dorrans has a lot in his locker and ‘Pool will need to be careful. Expect Southern to snap at him.
