Blackpool play their 2nd home game in a week as they take on bottom side Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.

Pool rescued a late point against Millwall on Tuesday but will be looking to take all three tomorrow and climb out of the relegation zone.

Vital Quotes:

Neil McDonald told the official site: ‘They keep the ball, they pass and move and they have lots of rotation. They’ll play 4-3-3 but they’ll play 4-5-1 when they haven’t got the ball, so we need to move the ball on quickly, we need to adjust our position quickly and we need to have an end product to give ourselves a chance of breaking them down.’

Crewe manager Steve Davis told their official site: ‘I do think we have the forward players to score goals. We need them to hit some real form but we also have to help them by creating better opportunities for them. The service could be better for them.’

‘We could do with being more creative in the final third and provide better quality in the penalty area.’

Blackpool Team News:

Emmerson Boyce and Martin Paterson could miss out again through injury unless they pass a late fitness test and Lloyd Jones again misses out through injury.

McDonald has said he is tempted to switch the team around for this game and we could certainly see some changes, especially on the wings.

Player to watch: Jack Redshaw

The young forward has been in good form of late and scored a good penalty on Tuesday to earn his side a point.

Crewe Team News:

Captain Harry Davis is still injured but striker Lauri Dalla Valle could come back into the side.

Player to watch: Adam King

The attacker has scored 4 goals this season and will be Crewe’s biggest threat.

Match Facts & Stats

Crewe have won only twice this season, however both those wins came away from home.

Match Prediction:

2-1 Pool. I think the Seasiders will do enough to win this one. Jack Redshaw and Brad Potts to score.

Next Fixtures:

Bury (A)
