Edge, who has made one league start for the Seasiders, has joined the Tigers on a work experience deal which means he’ll still train with the Seasiders but will be able to play for Worksop on match days.

Edge has been edged out of a starting place in the reserves team since the arrival of Les Pogliacomi. Egde commented to the club’s website today about his move, ?I am looking forward to getting out and playing some senior football. Whilst it is great to playing in the Youth Team, I am desperate to play in games that matter. It will be a good experience which hopefully will hold me in good stead for the future.?

Town had been looking to sign a keeper this week after former England semi-pro keeper Adam Sollitt was hospitalised following an incident in Sheffield Town centre on the 11th of February. Sollitt was left with a fractured skull and will be out of action for some time.

The Tigers lie in 16th place in the Conference North and take on Nuneaton this Saturday at home.
