Men In Black – Jon Moss

Who needs an excuse to moan about an official?

Referee Jon Moss was never going to be very popular, was he? There was a large part of me that felt Moss wouldn’t be hitting anywhere near the dizzy heights of 5 out of 10 after Blackpool went down to Bumley 2-0 on Tuesday night. And yes, he isn`t the first, and certainly not the last official to be crucified in our gamely Men in Black feature.

Moss – who controversially awarded the hosts a penalty in the second half – was given a MIB score of just 2.5, meagre even by Vital Blackpool standards!

A few comments after the game:

TangerineWizard: don’t you always get the rub of the green when you are the more positive and more attacking side as were Burnley last night and playing at home as well.

Platos: I gave him 3 for the first half but a sorry one for the second. How the hell do these people get away with not doing their well paid job correctly? This bugger looked like he had been nobbled at half time.

TangerineLordy: A pretty biased, average-poor referee who was not at all helped by his assistants. A score of 2 is about right.

Reedo: he doesn’t deserve a score (but did go onto give Moss a 2!)
