In 2010 he signed for Championship side Scunthorpe United for a deal worth up to £260,000, where he spent the last two seasons, making 70 appearances and scoring 11 goals.

In 2012, Grant then signed a two year contract at Spotlands for an undisclosed fee where he has played 28 games for Rochdale scoring 16 goals, and last month had his transfer request accepted after a successful season at Rochdale.
