The members of Blackpool Vital have come out in support of Tony Parkes’ version of events surrounding his departure from the club.
In the most recent site poll, we asked Blackpool Vital members whether they believed chairman Karl Oyston’s or ex caretaker manager Tony Parkes’ account of the latter’s departure from the club.
Oyston had claimed that Parkes had left due to personal reasons, but just the next day Parkes fought back and claimed that his departure was due to the poor offer put on the table to him.
In a debate that has been done to death and now needs a line drawing under it, our members came out 69% – 31% in support of Parkes.
It is believed that Parkes has been offered various scouting roles by clubs, but is taking time out to assess his options and recently played golf with his old boss Simon Grayson.
Did a fantastic job for us, disgraceful how the club tried to put the onus on him for leaving.
