SIMON Grayson, as well as working on a season long loan deal for Tottenham’s Joe Martin, could be lining up a similar deal for his brother too.

David Martin, a goalkeeper at Liverpool, is a potential target as Grayson looks to bring in a number of much needed reinforcements for next season.

The 6ft 1in stopper was signed by the Anfield side for an undisclosed six-figure fee in January 2006 after a string of impressive performances at MK Dons, where he had broken into the side as a teenager.

Still only 22 David is highly regarded at Liverpool, where he is viewed as one for the future, not unlike his brother at Spurs.

The Reds would like him to gain more first-team experience to add to his successful 10-match loan stint at Accrington Stanley last year.

The Seasiders undoubtedly need a goalkeeper to challenge current number one Rachubka, as the only back-up on the books at present is the unproven Latvian Pavels Steinbors.
