Blackpool’s Charlie Adam has been called up to the Scotland squad for their game against the Czech Republic in March.

The 23-year-old, who played a away in Japan for the national side late last year, has been in sparkling form for the Seasiders.

His inclusion, along with the likes of Graham Dorrans and Garry Kenneth, shows that new Scots boss Craig Levein is ready to give the future a chance.

Kris Boyd has been selected, making a mockery of the previous regime after the big Rangers forward was omitted by George Burley.

Barry Ferguson isn’t in the party, despite being made available by the SFA.
