Another Bid Rejected

It has been reported this morning that the Seasiders have had a £75,000 bid for Dundee United centre half Garry Kenneth rejected.

‘Pool manager Ian Holloway apparently made the bid last week after hearing some glowing reports on the twenty year old Scot.

Cardiff are also interested in the player, but the Tangerines (Dundee United, not us!) have said that he will not leave on the cheap, especially as he is contracted until 2012.

United chairman Stephen Thompson said:

‘We received an offer for Garry last week but rejected it immediately.

‘We don’t want him to leave and the figures mentioned were ridiculously small.’

It is unknown if the Seasiders will improve their offer, but the fact that Ian Holloway is trying to sign a centre half will cast further doubts on the future of Alex Baptiste, who, along with Wayne Routledge, was watched by Middlesbrough scout Gordon McQueen at the weekend.

Bar a loan spell at Cowdenbeath, Kenneth has spent his whole career at Dundee United.
