Blackpool are no longer in the Premier League but the Seasiders have still had three August games moved to accommodate Sky television coverage!

Ian Holloway’s side travel to Sheffield Wednesday in the first round of the Carling Cup. That’s been moved to Thursday August 11th because the match is live on TV.

As a direct consequence of that, Pool will now host Peterborough United at Bloomfield Road on Sunday August 14th – a three o’clock kick off.

It’s a good move by the Football League to give the team decent respite between fixtures, which also sees the Derby County fixture moved from Tuesday to Wednesday August 17th, that Championship clash being an eight o’clock start.
