Billy Clarke’s not had the best of luck since joining the Seasiders shortly after Ian Holloway was appointed manager.

Despite some impressive performances – particularly against PNE at home – Billy found himself in and out of the ‘Pool team during our promotion season.

Then a bad injury picked up last pre-season kept him out of the entiriry of our Premier League campaign.

He’s fit again now though, and desperate to prove himself with the Seasiders. And do you know what? I think he may just be a big player for us this season.

He’s been absolutely flying this pre-season by all accounts, and I think that his eye for goal coming off the wing will see him force his way into the starting XI on a regular basis.

He’s still young as well – he’s only 23 – so he’s still got time to improve as well.

The key for him now is to stay injury free and take any chances given to him, but at this stage I’m going to tip him to have a good season.

Let me know what you think on our forums!
