On the pitch:
Blackpool recorded back-to-back victories for the first time in more than two months as Charlton were swept aside at Bloomfield Road. New loan hero Liam Dickinson marked his first start in Tangerine with a brace in front of the North stand to condemn hapless Charlton to the foot of the Championship.

Gary Parkinson`s youngsters sadly lost out 3-0 at Cardiff City to bow out of this year`s FA Youth Cup.

Off the pitch:
Better news on the injury front with David Vaughan and Danny Coid edging closer to come backs. Both could be involved when Pool travel to Reading for Tuesday night`s encounter with the Royals.

Meanwhile, Simon Grayson is busy behind the scenes trying to tie down some of his stars to longer contracts. The likes of Ian Evatt and Ben Burgess are among those whose futures need sorting.
Equally, Pool`s plethora of loan players will have an anxious wait to see where their future lies, with most players` deals expiring in January.

Pool`s brand new flag adorned Bloomfield Road prior to the game against Charlton. Well done to all those involved with the project especially Mick Page and Frank Knight.

‘Something is going on` posted by david7878 who talks of disillusionment at current goings on at BFC. Yes it`s perhaps understandable, and even noticeable with the decreasing crowds, but let`s not forget where we were when Larry took over to where we are now. The man has done an outstanding job. We are in the Championship, we are here for the long haul so let`s enjoy it!
