On the pitch:
Blackpool picked up a useful point away at Doncaster Rovers yesterday in a goalless draw.
The home side had the better of the chances and they almost won the points at the death but Pool survived thanks to the crossbar’s intervention.
Ben Burgess had an excellent shout for a penalty waved away in what wasn’t Pool’s best performance this season.

Mitchley’s back:
Danny Mitchley returned to action in the week, appearing for the Reserves in their 2-1 defeat against Burnley’s second string.
The prolific young striker will hope to improve his match sharpness in the coming weeks to put pressure on the first team forwards.

Off the pitch:
Matty Kay signed for Fleetwood Town on a month’s loan. The young midfielder started for Mickey Mellon’s side in yesterday’s 2-1 home reverse against Stalybridge Celtic.

Crainey’s continued absence:
Long-term absentee Stephen Crainey still seems a fair way off first team action. Mo Camara will spend another month with Blackpool though he won’t play against his parent club Derby this Tuesday. This means either Joe Martin or Danny Coid will fill in at left back against The Rams.

Best thread on the forum:
Undoubtedly Layton_Seasider’s sightings of injured Pool players shopping at Tesco! Layton has now added Stephen Crainey to his list of Pool players spotted roaming the endless aisles.

A big week in store for Pool with home games against Derby and Palace. Offer me four more points by this time next week – I’ll snap your hand off!
