Blackpool have signed Charlie Adam from Rangers on loan until the end of the season, according to national reports.

The midfielder, who plies his trade mainly on the left hand side, has started over 60 games for Rangers, scoring an impressive 18 goals in that time.

Adam has recently fallen out of favour at Ibrox, but will add much needed quality to the Seasiders’ midfield. He has played in nine of the Gers’ fixtures this campaign.

The 23-year-old has been capped twice for Scotland – both in 2007.

Personally speaking, I think this has the potential to be the best signing The Seasiders have made in recent history.

This move could mean that Gary Taylor-Fletcher is in line for a role up front alongside DJ Campbell on a more permanent basis.
