Birmingham: Ben Foster has joined West Brom on loan, with Boaz Myhill and Chris Wood coming the other way. The Blues have also lost midfielder Michel to Getafe, but Jonathan Spector has joined the club from West Ham.

Bristol City: City have re-signed West Ham defender Jordan Spence on loan. Spence made 11 appearances for City whilst on loan last season.

Burnley: Eddie Howe’s side have signed Preston’s Keith Treacy and Bournemouth’s Jon Stewart and Danny Ings, but have lost left back Danny Fox to Southampton in a surprise move.

Crystal Palace: The Eagles have signed four players on loan – Stoke’s Andrew Davies, Man City’s Ryan McGivern, Leicester’s Aleksandar Tunchev and QPR’s Peter Ramage.

Derby: The Rams have signed Kevin Kilbane on loan from Hull and have also signed free agent Chris Riggott following a successful trial.

Doncaster: Rovers have signed Ryan Mason on loan from Spurs, Giles Barnes, Rachid Bouhenna and Oscar Radford.

Hull: Midfielder Will Atkinson has joined Plymouth on loan for the season, whilst the Tigers have signed Austrian winger Martin Pusic following a successful trial.

Ipswich: Keeper Marton Fulop has joined West Brom whilst the Tractor Boys have signed Keith Andrews on loan from Blackburn.

Leeds: Simon Grayson’s side have signed Andy Lonergan from Preston and defender Darren O’Dea on loan from Celtic.

Leicester: Forward Dany N’Guessan has joined Millwall on loan, whilst the Foxes have signed left back Michael Ball on a free.

Middlesbrough: Boro have signed Carl Ikeme from Wolves on an emergency loan, but striker Leroy Lita has left the club to join Swansea. Midfielders Marvin Emnes and Julio Arca have signed new deals at the Riverside, however.

Nottingham Forest: Forest have signed two ‘Pool targets on permanent deals; Olympiakos’ Matt Derbyshire and West Brom’s Ishmael Miller.

Peterborough: The Posh have signed Josh Thompson on loan from Celtic, whilst Exodus Exodus Geohaghon is just one of several players to leave the club in recent weeks as Darren Ferguson looks to reshape his squad.

Portsmouth: Pompey have re-signed striker Benjani on a one year deal.

Reading: Striker Shane Long has joined West Brom for a fee in the excess of five million pounds.

Southampton: Star young midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has left St. Mary’s, signing for Arsenal in a big money move.

Watford: The Hornets have signed ex ‘Pool loanee Carl Dickinson permanently.

West Ham: The Hammers have signed John Carew permanently and defender George McCartney on loan from Sunderland, but Matthew Upson has joined Stoke on a free.
