Local businessman David Haythornthwaite has said to have gone public about the details of his bid due to the lack of progress in the takeover.
It is rumoured that Haythornthwaite?s bid of £6.75m is just for the football club, not for BFC Holdings which includes all the facilities at Bloomfield Road
Reports also have suggested that another potential bidder Latvian Valery Belokon will be attending the Oldham match tonight.
