In an interview with the official site, Ian Holloway has confirmed that he is trying to re-sign four of the players who starred for the Seasiders on loan last season.

Stating that he wanted to start with a squad that at least matches last year’s, Ollie confirmed that he wants to bring Seamus Coleman, Barry Bannan, Stephen Dobbie and DJ Campbell back to Bloomfield Road.

As Vital have been reporting for several weeks now, the Seasiders have made a bid to take Seamus Coleman on loan from Everton again – this time for the season. However, David Moyes is yet to decide on what role Coleman will play this season.

It is unclear whether any deal for Barry Bannan would be a loan or a permanent transfer, but any deals for Dobbie and DJ would be permanent, but Ollie has to negotiate the issues of inflated transfer fees and changes of manager at both clubs.

In the interview, Ollie speaks about a wide range of issues, including the release of Hameur Bouazza.

Meanwhile, the Seasiders have been linked with Paraguayan international left back Claudio Morel.

The 32 year old is currently without a club despite featuring at this summer’s World Cup.
