‘Pool manager Ian Holloway seemed happy with a point as he looks to rebuild the Seasiders’ season.

‘I stood there and thoroughly enjoyed our performance,’ said Ollie.

‘The script was here for them to beat us and go above us and to be honest I didn’t think they looked like doing it.’

Ollie also reserved special praise for his defence, DJ Campbell and the fans who made the trip.

‘I thought my back four defended how they should do.

‘My midfield was a little bit different with DJ there, they didn’t get to grips with him.

‘Today I’m very proud of what we’re trying to do and our supporters.’

Darren Ferguson made no mention of the Preston fans unsurprisingly, after they failed to sell out any of their three stands. Pathetic! They should have been made to wait around at the end instead of us!

Anyway, Ferguson Jnr wasn’t too impressed with striker Danny Welbeck, on loan from his dad’s Man Utd:

‘Danny Welbeck went clean through and should have scored. He had one in the first half as well.

‘It was one of those games where you have to take your chances.

‘Derbies are always tense affairs and it can take a little bit of magic to win them or a mistake from opposition.

‘The dressing room is very quiet because they’re all disappointed, we wanted to win the game.’

You better get used to that disappointment, Darren!
