Adam Hammill has joined Championship rivals Barnsley today on loan.

The Liverpool winger has signed on at Oakwell until the end of the season.

Hammill had enjoyed an up and down spell at Blackpool earlier in the season, and it was thought that Tony Parkes wasn’t going back in for the winger – preferring Roy O’Donovan instead.

However, Hammill doesn’t see it that way: “I had the chance to return to Bloomfield Road where I had enjoyed my spell. I also had the chance to join Sheffield United and Leeds.

One WOW signing for Barnsley today is the loan acquisition of Adranik from Fulham. The former Bolton midfielder was one of the Premiership’s hottest properties last season, but has found it difficult to break into The Cottagers’ plans this term.
