Men In Black

Premiership referee Mark Clattenburg will take charge of Blackpool’s away trip to Huddersfield Town tomorrow.

The Tyne and Wear official has been the man in black on 37 occasions already this season, and has been a regular fixture in The Premiership.

However, he is prone to dipping into the old top pocket and has dished out 147 yellow cards so far this term. Although only three reds have been issued by him, which is not a bad record.

Clattenburg has only been at a single League One game this season, which was very early on when Nottingham Forest beat Brighton 2-1.

The referee has received European recognition, having been involved in the UEFA Cup as he reffed Basle’s 2-1 defeat away at Vaduz (no, I don’t know them either!).

Remember to rate him after the game…
