Coming out on top in the poll with 41% of the vote were those of you who believe defeats in pre-season games are painful. The die-hard fans who travel far and wide to watch the Pool in any game will no doubt feel the pain of a defeat more than most. Equally for the players losing any game leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Next in the poll with 34% of the votes were those of you who don’t mind whether Pool win, lose or draw in pre-season games. So far we have had a mixed bag of results in pre-season with two draws, a win and a defeat. So those results should suit a certain set of fans.

Lagging behind in the poll were those of you who reckon all wins are vital, and on the other hand, those who don’t even bother to check results. I believe any win breeds confidence among fans and players. Therefore it is important Pool pick up a couple more victories before the season proper begins in August.

Last year the Seasiders entered the season on a high after the perfect ten and promotion. This confidence helped Pool to reach the lofty heights of the top ten in the Championship in mid-September. Fast forward 12 months and Pool are lacking that forward momentum. We need a spark heading into such a vital season. That spark could be provided by a couple of big wins to finish pre-season.

This week our poll asks you where you reckon Blackpool will finish this season. Get voting!
