Following on from the impressive win against Watford, Blackpool were hoping to put in a decent performance and therefore have a few players up for nomination for MOTM – however it didn’t happen. Only three different players were nominated, and one of them only played half the match!

In third place with one vote was Adam Hammill, who in fairness did play well when he come on at half time. Surely he has to start against Preston?

In second place with a few votes was the midfield maestro Keith Southern, who managed to pick up a few plaudits, even after a very bad team performance.

The winner and now top of the MOTM leader board is the Seasiders number 6 Ian Evatt, who gave another good display in the heart of the defence. Evatt now has 4 MOTM’s this season, and keeping up this form may well be a contention for the overall title.

Let’s hope after the derby on Sunday we have a whole host of votes, and for all the right reasons.

Leader board after 17 games (16 league, 1 cup):

Name Points
Ian Evatt 4
Steve Kabba 3
Adam Hammill 2
Gary Taylor-Fletcher 2
Alan Gow 2
Rob Edwards 1
Ben Burgess 1
Shaun Barker 1
Paul Rachubka 1
