Nafti To Go Out On Loan

Birmingham city midfielder Medhi Nafti has been made available for loan when the emergency market re-opens next week.

The holding midfield player has found himself way down the pecking order at St. Andrews and is likely to move to another Championship side.

And with Paul Marshall being a short term loanee at Bloomfield Road, The Seasiders could be interested in the Tunisian internationals’ services as Keith Southern continues to battle for fitness.

‘He said he needs to play and I totally understand that,’ Blues boss Alex McLeish told Birmingham’s website.

‘He’s a very experienced holding midfielder, but we’ve got other players vying for the position so it’s difficult to play them all.

‘Mehdi has assured me he’ll be giving everything in training and he will be available if I need him.’
