Shaun Barker was last night awarded with the first ever Blackpool Vital Player of the season award, at the end of season presentation night. Jerry (middle) and Toronto Pool presenting the prize to Barker.
Barker moved to the seaside in the summer from Rotherham United and slotted into the back four with ease. Playing at right-back Barker only missed one league game this season through a suspension. He also bagged 6 goals from the right back spot, important ones coming in the away play-off game at Oldham and the 2-1 away win at Crewe with a 91st minute winning header.
Other winners on the night included, Andy Morrell, Ian Evatt, Wes Hoolahan and Lewis Edge.
