Although the transfer window hasn`t been open for long, I think it`s fair to say that Blackpool need to get players in a lot quicker than many other clubs.

Paul Ince is still working with a relatively small squad, one that he feels must be added to soon. He told the Blackpool Gazette: ‘we probably need seven or eight more players in yet` ‘the season is getting closer so we are playing catch up`.

Pool have been linked with a number of players recently, Wycombe`s Charles Dunne, MK Dons midfielder Stephen Gleeson and Peterborough`s Tyrone Barnett are all believed to be possible targets for the club.

However with training in full flow, signing these transfer targets soon must be a high priority for manager Ince. The longer pre-season training continues to progress, the more the players will get a feel for the style of football Ince wants his squad to play next season.

This makes it ever more important that the majority of the squad for next season is assembled by August 3rd when the season kicks off. Hopefully Ince has the financial backing to sign the players he desires by this date.
